Hi.

Please enjoy my snaps and little stories. Hope you have a nice stay!

Brooklyn Bridge Bites

Brooklyn Bridge Bites

One of my favorite things to do in NYC is walk across the Brooklyn Bridge! During the summer, I always buy a $3 bag of mangos at the entrance to the bridge from the Financial District. Before I set off over the 1.1 mile long bridge, I make sure and load them up with Chamoy. Yum! Seriously, this is one of my favorite taste sensations! The sweet and spicy flavors explode on my taste buds, as I walk across looking up, looking down, looking over, and under. I feel on top of the world!

By the time I reach the other side, my hands are sticky and ready to meet... you guessed it, Brooklyn style pizza!

Is it safe to say that I walk the Brooklyn Bridge just to eat? You've got me.

What you must understand is that this little walk across the bridge is somewhat surreal, as it engages all of my senses. The heat from Summer's glow, the feeling of rushing wind, hearing the cars below and people around. The touch of tender mango slices, while savoring the taste of its spiciness. I enjoy seeing the views.

As I hit the wooden slats, Grimaldi's pepperoni pizza with capers was calling me.

On this day, it was almost 100 degrees.... so you can bet I was "glistening" in this gingham dress, city hiking ready in my Vans!
